Adirondacks: The Museum

Founded 1957, the Adirondack Experience Museum houses 30,000 local objects, 70,000 photographs, 9,000 books, and 800 manuscript collections. A permanent favorite is the collection of 50 boats, including historical Adirondack Guideboats.

The Museum’s boathouse is a short hike into Minnow Pond. During open hours, guests borrow a range of incredible vintage smallcraft, including boats from the 1900-1940’s.

A range of nature, education, and craft events are available at the museum late May through mid-October.
