Adirondacks: Lapland Lake

Lapland Lake is the dream of Olavi Hirvonen, a Finnish-American nordic skier who competed in the 1960 Olympics. Meandering under towering pines, the 50 kilometers of trails are impeccably groomed, with a peaceful one-way layout. It’s special: a wonderland.

The family-run facility offers food, occasional sauna, and a ski pro shop. Beginners can start in easy circles and soon set out for the longer trails, all with Finnish names. Check the snow conditions here and get out there.
