We’re dedicating our spaces to collaborative workshops.

We provide our main Adirondacks lodge and up to eight motel rooms, so you can explore the surrounding hikes and lakes. Catskills options can also be considered.

Selected workshop leaders develop and host a multiday workshop where participants can learn, discuss ideas, and inspire each other, with some time together, and some time alone. Leaders define the focus and form of the workshop, working with The Lorca to fill enrollment slots.

Workshops are a beautiful way to inspire your work, earn your rate, and connect with your community in a deeper way. We welcome submissions here.

  • For the Adirondacks, we are targeting groups of about 10, with each participant contributing $1,000 per week. Pricing can be adjusted based on the workshop.

Enrollment fees are split between you and the Lorca, and cover all facilities, cleaning, staff, and utilities.

  • We’re currently available for workshops during April and November and plan to keep our standard open access for our boutique motel guests during the summer and winter.

  • Lorca Adirondacks has a main two-bedroom house with a fireplace, couch, open area for group meetings, and a kitchen. We also have an 8-room boutique motel with rooms including full beds, desks, and individual bathrooms, with mini-fridges. Our campfire area has grills for cooking. There is access nearby to an incredible lake with island campsites and hikes.

  • We’ll consider proposals in most areas, with a focus on the arts, craft, nature, wellness, and advocacy. In general, it’s great to mix some structured time with unstructured exploration. Host a writer’s workshop or share and critique photographic work. If you can demonstrate your craft outdoors, make it about furniture design. Create a wellness retreat. Make it about songwriting. Have a seminar in the morning and free hiking and exploration in the afternoon. It’s up to you.

  • We’ll work together to market and fill up your workshop as best we’re able, and we’re collaborating with creators we believe in. If enrollment is a few participants short, there’s no need to cancel—we’ll split a smaller total participant fee, and won’t impose a flat rate for use of the space.

  • If you have a workshop concept, please submit it here.
